Okay, sorry if you’re tired of getting updates on the Boy’s sleeping, but this was very exciting for us. Wednesday night the girls were up more frequently than Elisha was. That’s what Jay asked when he came out from the girls’ room at naptime this afternoon.
“I walked in there and they started smacking their own butts saying, ‘I’m spanking myself, I’m spanking myself!'”
He did it again!
Another solid night last night!
After days of nursing for a growth-spurt (read: very frequently), Elisha zonked hard last night and (by our sleepy estimate) pulled-off 6-hours in a stretch. He also did more than three hours together for his morning nap. That combined with the girls’ morning movie made me feel very productive. Continue reading
When you listen…
Today during naptime Natasha was standing at the gate in her doorway, leaning on it despondently.
“My heart is broken,” she said in her ‘sad’ voice. This was one of the many moments I’ve felt my natural response (laughter) in conflict with my parenting instinct. “My heart is broken,” she said again. At the Party
We got some sweet pictures of Melody with her first haircut and birthday party with Mom, Dad and Grandma.
Dad got a punch of “poppers” with paper streamers inside, and some of our pictures are of various people with streamers over their hair.
Mom asked Natasha, “Am I beautiful?” Colored paper piled all over.
“Almost,” said Natasha in a serious voice.
