Another solid night last night!

After days of nursing for a growth-spurt (read: very frequently), Elisha zonked hard last night and (by our sleepy estimate) pulled-off 6-hours in a stretch. He also did more than three hours together for his morning nap. That combined with the girls’ morning movie made me feel very productive.

I am also happy to report he was nursing better today. I actually got to use the special nursing pillow I bought weeks ago. It goes around my waist and clips to stay on. About a week ago when I was fussing with pillows on the bed, Jay asked me why I didn’t use “the more expensive pillow that’s actually for nursing,” and I told him that until Elisha was nursing longer than it took for me to get the thing on and off it wasn’t worth the hassle.

After that good morning nap I figured the odds were in my favor, and the pillow was wonderful. The back support alone has got to be worth the purchase price.

I have been having back-pain for many weeks now, and after the relief that pillow offered, I think I’ll be using it more, even if I’m not as sure he’s hungry enough to stay focused.
