About Us
We’re 3rd generation Alaskans raising our kids in Alaska’s interior. In January of 2011 we moved to a rocky six acres on the outskirts of our community. We now live in a 1-bedroom house with under 1000 square feet as we save a few years to build our “forever” home.
The Foci page explains what goes on in our home and on this blog. We’ve covered a lot of territory since the blog’s birth in 2006, and the Archives will let you tour that.
“Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live;
it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.
And unselfishness is letting other people’s lives alone,
not interfering with them.
Selfishness always aims at uniformity of type.
Unselfishness recognizes infinite variety of type
as a delightful thing,
accepts it, acquiesces in it, enjoys it.”
Oscar Wilde
