Welcome to our family scrapbook!

We’re a 3rd generation family of Alaskans living in Alaska’s interior.  In January of 2011 we fulfilled a dream of mine and moved to a hobby farm on the outskirts of our community. We now live in a 1-bedroom house under 1000 square feet as we save a few years to build our “forever” home.

The Foci page explains what goes on at this blog,  in a scheduled, planned way.  But the Categories page will give you an idea how much territory I’ve covered since 2006.

Here I make notes of (some) of the things I’m learning. Things I expect will be useful to the folks I bump into in real life, things we get to talking about and find there’s not enough time or detail in touch-and-go-talks for all the information we want to share.
