Two weeks ago, now, Jay and I droe to Anchorage and back, leaving Friday afternoon and returning Saturday night.
The next weekend the Renaissance Faire got rained-out, but the girls still got to wear their costumes:
On Saturday to Papa and Grandma’s, and Sunday to church. Yes, Melody wore a shirt under that vest.
I find I didn’t [...]
We spent the morning at the Ewigs, and the kids had a ball, playing in the sand, riding in the canoe and generally enjoying being outside– without sunscreen.
I’m surprised Elisha shows as much color as he does, since he was the only id who brought a hat (his sister’s sunbonnet) and wore it much of [...]
Like I mentioned earlier, I spent most of January 1st working on books.
The girls and I traded bookshelves in our bedrooms. These pictures are the girls washing their “new” kid-sized bookshelf.
And then I saw Elisha in his little rocking chair, sitting with “Where the Wild Things Are” [...]
Elisha has to be told to sit on the opposite side of the kitchen (against the cabinets) if I’m trying to take someting out of the oven. Otherwise he’s hovering right by the door, signing hot! hot! excitedly. Here he’s heard the timer go off and he knows what’s supposed to come next.

So I cleaned him up and worked in the kitchen for [...]
Was gone much of the last week for our last (immediate) family wedding.
Random “over-heards” from the weekend.
A tee-shirt on the groom:
No, I don’t have a girlfriend.
But a know a girl who would be pretty upset if she heard me say that.
After the wedding:
60-something uncle: So, [Groom] what are you planning on doing tonight?
Unbelieving stare [...]
On Friday Morning Mom and Dad picked up the kids and me in the truck and we all drove to the lake for a day of fishing.
Elisha was itty-bitty the last time we went, so it was the first boat trip he didn’t sleep through.
He got to wear his infant life jacket, play with worms, [...]
We’re getting caught up with pictures! At least, we’ve consolidated our on-line albums, so you can see the ones from 2004 now, and I’ve captioned 40 that Jay is working at getting uploading this evening.
So… Go check them out. They’re pretty fun.
